who finally broke me down.
I've been bending for ages,
burdened, gagged and bound.
You saw my armor, shardes and bits,
glinting in the light
you saw behind the masquerade,
never thinking that there might
be more to me than rage and pride,
and apathetic voice?
that I might not be the girl I am
was I given the choice?
But no, that never crossed your mind,
that tangled, twisted mess.
And don't try to intimidate,
cuz I won't be impressed.

I'm picking up my pieces,
only ones that I will need.
The rest, I will hide, far away,
where they cannot mislead.
I'll crawl back to my cave,
and I will cov
zombiecome taste my tears,
come see my scars,
come tear my heathen flesh apart.
come destroy me,
come and scold,
come choke down the lies you've told.
we're neither worse nor better at the ending of the day.
neither of us triumphs when
we kill and die this way.

I'll break your bones,
I'll cut your veins,
I'll seek catharsis in your pain.
I'll desecate
all that we are,
I'll feast upon your beating heart.
we stagger to the finish line, flesh torn and souls decayed
with neither of us living since

we've learned to live this way.

So. This is my submission for the cute monsters contest.
I have termed the little critter Wubbli. :3

The original idea was to have the shadow stretch around the side of the shirt and onto the back, but apparently that's not allowed. :(
